About the Low Level Panel network

The Low Level Panel is a growing network of young professionals working within or alongside the UN system; we have banded together in recent months (on a voluntary basis) to propose a series of practical, "low level" recommendations to enhance the UN's working practices.

There are currently about 50 people actively involved in the network, from various UN departments and agencies, and based in countries all over the world; the Panel also includes a number of professionals from the private sector who are contributing business "best practices."

Network members assembled in New York on 23-24 April for brainstorming on a series of practical recommendations in four areas: strengthening staff performance, information and knowledge management, procurement, and field-HQ coordination.

Network members aim to issue a preliminary report in May.
